3 States in a Week
Lest you think I'm getting lazy and slacking off about posting, I'll let you know that it's actually been a crazy fun week of traveling. I've hit 3 states within the course of a week: Queensland, New South Wales (where we live), and Victoria.
Last week, at Kari's encouragement (taunting?), I bought a cheap last minute flight up to Brisbane to attend her & Max's housewarming party. I stayed from Saturday till Tuesday night, having fun with those guys (and keeping Kari from going out of her mind as an "unemployed housewife"). Good times.
Then on Thursday, Crash found out that he had a 3-day weekend. We have the Queen to thank (not sure which one), as Monday (today) is a celebration of her birthday. So on Friday afternoon we bought cheap last minute flights down to Melbourne and saw Circus Oz perform. We stayed from Saturday till Monday morning, and had a rockin' good time exploring the city. (Special thanks go to Josh, a client of mine and a former "Melbin" resident, who sent us a "must see itinerary." It was wonderful!)
I'll post photos soon... I feel guilty about not keeping up but then again I can't feel too bad about choosing to get out and about over just being inside sitting on a computer.
Which is good advice for all of us.
Cheers!
